Hello, I’m glad you’re here. Let me tell you a little about my journey.

The journey that brought me here

I’m Amit. I’ve spent 25 years in technology, including many years in engineering leadership. Along the way, my curiosity gradually shifted from solving technical problems to understanding people, what helps them grow, and how they find their own way forward.

Today, as an ICF-credentialed coach, I work with people who are figuring out what matters to them and what comes next.

A career that taught me about people

My professional journey has been anything but planned.

I graduated as a Metallurgical Engineer, started as a computer faculty teaching Java and Design Patterns to new grads, moved into software engineering, and eventually found my way into engineering leadership.

I began by focusing on building my career. Over time, I grew curious about things beyond the work itself. From solving technical problems, I found myself thinking more about people. What helps someone grow? What gives them the confidence to take a leap? And why do some conversations stay with us long after they’ve ended?

I didn’t have answers to these questions. I just found myself getting more curious about them. Somewhere along the way, I began to realise that a thoughtful conversation can sometimes do more for someone than another piece of advice.

From client to a coach

There was a phase in my career when I felt stuck and was operating on autopilot mode. I kept returning to the same questions. Coaching was a different experience. It didn’t help me find answers. It helped me notice the questions I wasn’t asking.

Some of my biggest shifts came not from learning something new, but from looking at things differently, questioning what I’d taken for granted, and letting go of what I no longer needed. I experienced this first as a client, and it stayed with me.

Over time, I felt drawn to creating that same space for others. Not to tell them what to do or offer answers from my own experience, but to help them pause, think things through, and discover what makes sense for them.

That led me to coaching. And here I am.

Beyond work and coaching

On the personal front, I’m a dad to a Gen-Z teenager who makes me feel ancient and curious simultaneously. Being a parent has taught me that influence and control are two very different things.

A good book, a quiet solo trip or time at the cricket nets can make me lose track of time for hours. Coaching has now joined that list.

What started as a personal investment eventually became a way of giving back. And while the journey is miles from complete, that’s perhaps what makes it exciting.
